Mamidikaya Pulihora (Raw Mango Tamarind Rice)
A must-have tangy rice dish during Ugadi!
Ingredients:
- 
Cooked Rice – 2 cups
 - 
Grated Raw Mango – ½ cup
 - 
Green Chilies – 3 (chopped)
 - 
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
 - 
Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
 - 
Chana Dal – 1 tbsp
 - 
Urad Dal – 1 tbsp
 - 
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
 - 
Hing – a pinch
 - 
Salt – to taste
 - 
Oil – 2 tbsp
 
Preparation:
- 
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, and hing.
 - 
Once the dal turns golden, add green chilies and curry leaves.
 - 
Add grated mango and sauté for a minute.
 - 
Mix in turmeric and salt, then add the cooked rice.
 - 
Stir well and serve with papad or chutney.
