A must-have tangy rice dish during Ugadi!

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice – 2 cups

  • Grated Raw Mango – ½ cup

  • Green Chilies – 3 (chopped)

  • Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp

  • Curry Leaves – 1 sprig

  • Chana Dal – 1 tbsp

  • Urad Dal – 1 tbsp

  • Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp

  • Hing – a pinch

  • Salt – to taste

  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, and hing.

  2. Once the dal turns golden, add green chilies and curry leaves.

  3. Add grated mango and sauté for a minute.

  4. Mix in turmeric and salt, then add the cooked rice.

  5. Stir well and serve with papad or chutney.
